- Pete Latzo 146
- Watres Armory, Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA L UD 10/10
- referee: Frank Floyd judges: Mike Bernstein, John Kofoed
- World Welterweight Title
“Latzo won decisively simple because he was a better boxer than Walker. He stood up under the terific body punishment the champion inflicted and despite this attack was able to come back with a counter-offensive tht invariably swept Walker before it and not infrequently had the defending champion stung and staggering.” Both judges awarded the fight to Latzo while the referee, who was therefore not required under Pennsylvania law, called it a draw. Both judges voted for Latzo and Referee did not vote.
