Juan Manuel Marquez KOs Manny Pacquiao in Sensational Boxing Event

One punch KO ends sizzling night of championship boxing

 

 

At the age of 33 Manny Pacquiao is a 17 year pro who made his pro debut at the young age of 16. As one of boxing’s biggest and brightest stars, he has been fighting at the top levels of competition and has given some of the most sensational performances in the ring in recent years.

When Juan Manual Marquez won the WBA-WBO Lightweight World Title in February 2009, he joined the elite group of only five Mexicans who have won World Boxing Titles in three different weight divisions – Juan, Erk Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Julio Cesar Chavez and Fernando Montiel.

Manny took the first two rounds easily. Then in the middle of the third round Marquez lands an over hand right and the Pac Man goes down hard on the seat of his trunks. He got up, shook his head and charged toe to toe fighting to the end of the round. In the fifth Marquez was bloody, his nose broken and Manny puts Marquez down with a left. In the 6th, right from the start, Manny was trying to end the fight. Near the end of the round Manny backs Juan into a corner, misses with a left and it seemed at the same time Juan lands an over hand right and Manny goes down face first and out. The fight is over at 2:59 of the sixth round.
